Property Accountant

Property AccountantOur client is seeking a detail-oriented Property Accountant to support accounting operations for a portfolio of properties. This role is responsible for preparing financial statements, reconciling accounts, managing month-end close activities, tracking tenant-related transactions, and helping ensure accurate property-level reporting. The ideal candidate is analytical, organized, and comfortable working in a deadline-driven environment.Key Responsibilities:Prepare monthly financial statements for assigned propertiesPerform bank reconciliations and balance sheet account reconciliationsReview and post journal entries, accruals, and adjusting entriesSupport month-end and year-end close processesTrack and reconcile tenant billings, CAM reconciliations, and lease-related transactionsMaintain fixed asset schedules, prepaid expenses, and depreciation recordsAnalyze property operating results and investigate budget-to-actual variancesAssist with annual budgets, forecasts, and audit supportCoordinate with property managers and other internal teams to resolve accounting issuesEnsure compliance with accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls
