Occupational Therapy Assistant (OTA) degree, active Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) license, and 1+ years Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

This contract opportunity is designed for a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) eager to work with K-12 students during the ESY (Extended School Year) program. The role takes place Monday through Thursday from 8:00 a.m. to 1:15 p.m., running July 6 through August 13. You’ll work in a collaborative environment hosted at a well-equipped upper elementary school, with the potential to adapt your skill set to a diverse caseload.

Key Qualifications:

• Valid Connecticut COTA certification required
• Previous school-based COTA experience preferred
• Knowledge of pediatric OT practices and interventions for school settings
• Strong communication and collaboration skills with students, staff, and families
• Ability to adapt quickly and thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic educational environment

Primary Responsibilities:

• Deliver occupational therapy support to students from kindergarten through 12th grade during ESY
• Implement individualized and group interventions under OT supervision
• Collaborate with teachers and related service providers
• Track and document student progress in accordance with program standards
• Contribute to planning and adapt interventions as caseload details are clarified
• Attend and participate in team meetings as needed
