Part-Time Bartender/Server

Job Posting$15-20/hr plus tipsBartenders work directly with customers by mixing and serving drink orders. Their responsibilities include verifying age requirements, knowing alcohol pairing and tastes, knowing how to make traditional and classy drinks, processing payments, managing inventory and cleaning bar supplies.ResponsibilitiesPrepare for a shift by completing tasks such as prepping liquor, beer, wine, glassware, garnishes, back bar, etc.Greet each member by name, know their favorite drinks, make recommendations.Present drink menus, make recommendations and answer questions regarding beverages.Market the food and beverage operation to ensure financial success.Verify identification and age requirements of customers.Open and maintain tabs throughout their shift.Build a rapport with regular customers to create a positive atmosphere.Mix traditional and creative cocktails and pour beers properly.Clean glasses and bar utensils.Record and balance cash receipts and prepare cash deposits, and process payments accurately.Taking and preparing to go orders, and ensuring they are complete.Maintain thorough cleanliness and sanitation of work area; complete other cleaning as assigned.Complete breakdown of bar area including cleaning of all equipment.Assist in new employee training including demonstrating service procedures and policies and introducing menus.Attend mandatory company and/or departmental meetings and trainings.Perform other duties as assigned.Adhere to policies and procedures set by the company and Health Department.QualificationsRequirements:Knowledge of applicable laws and regulations.Knowledge of mixology for traditional/creative cocktails and beers.Understanding of unique and complementary flavor pairings.Impeccable customer service and social perceptiveness.Ability to evaluate customer satisfaction and responsiveness.Ability to enforce company policies regarding the consumption of alcohol.Accountability in maintaining inventory and processing payments.Be 21 years of age.Outgoing personality, positive attitude, and strong communication skills.Strong knowledge of restaurant operation and service procedures.Member service focus.Have working knowledge of beer, wine and liquor and common drink recipes.Possess basic math skills and be able to handle money and operate a cash register.Punctuality and regular and reliable attendance.Honesty and Integrity.Food handling certification, or willingness to obtain one.Minimum 2 years bartending experience is required; country club setting preferred.High School Diploma or GED.Associate degree preferred but not required.Computer Skills:Basic software knowledge in MS Word, Excel, point of sale, and reservation systems.Environmental Factors/Physical Demands:Work is performed in a country club, bar, and restaurant.Employee is regularly required to have the ability to maintain active member and employee communication (good conversational English skills).May be subject to bending, reaching, kneeling, and stooping.May also be subject to moving, lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, and placing objects weighing less than or equal to 25 pounds with assistance and objects in excess of 50 pounds with assistance.Stands, sits, or walks for an extended period.In addition, the candidate for this position must own reliable transportation, have good conversational English skills, be punctual, and present themselves in an appropriate manner for a Country Club environment.Position Type and Expected Hours of Work:Regular part time, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.FS123
