With senior retirements approaching and continued commercial growth, they're creating space for the next generation of leaders to step forward.If you're an estimator who knows the New York market, understands the rhythm of steel, and wants a seat at a table where decisions actually get made, this is your moment.ð The RoleReview drawings, specifications, and bid documents for structural and miscellaneous steel packages.Perform steel take‑offs, quantity surveys, and pricing across materials, fabrication, coatings, freight, and erection.Solicit, analyse, and negotiate subcontractor and supplier quotations.Assess labour requirements and constructability constraints for shop and field operations.Prepare detailed bid proposals, budgets, and cost breakdowns.Attend bid reviews and support contract handover once work is awarded.ð The CandidateMust‑haves5+ years estimating experience in structural/miscellaneous steel.Strong Bluebeam and Excel capability.Existing relationships with major NYC contractors (Turner, Tishman, Skanska, etc.).Ability to read, interpret, and analyse drawings.Proven ability to bring in $2-3M of awarded work annually.Strong communication skills - this team values clarity and professionalism.ð Benefits$150,000 +/- base salary.Yearly bonus ($10k-$50k depending on individual and company performance).2 weeks PTO (negotiable).Healthcare - strong employer contribution for single coverage; premium/family plans available.Full medical, dental, and vision.401(k) with company match.Hybrid flexibility (1 day per week from home for strong candidates).Clear progression opportunities due to long‑term retirements and facility expansion.ð ApplyIf you're an estimator who knows the New York steel market and wants to join a long‑established contractor entering its next growth phase, send your resume or reach out directly for a confidential conversation.
