CNC Machinist - 2nd Shift

With the growth of the company, we are looking to expand our 2nd shift staff! Under general supervision, machinist perform varied machining operations. Analyzes Engineering Blueprints, specifications, and instructions to operate all CNC Machine Tools. Machine list: Star Swiss, Hass Vertical, Makino Horizontal, and Vertical. Pay pending on skill level. We offer a flexible schedule with 10-hour shifts, Monday through Thursday. Who wouldn't want a 3-day weekend & Weekly Pay! Requirements Maintain and operate CNC Swiss/Mill-Turn Machines on the production floor. Make adjustments to ensure parts are meeting quality requirements. Safely utilize a variety of hand tools, power tools, and machines. Responsible for loading parts, operating controls, setting offsets, simple edits, deburring, and inspection of quality parts for conformance to requirements. Able to interpret drawings, manuals, specifications, or sample parts to determine dimensions and tolerances of finished work pieces, sequence of operations, and requirements. Responsible for keeping equipment and work area clean and orderly, and performing basic preventative maintenance functions of equipment. Maintain quality records. Communicates with supervisor, engineers, production control, quality, and other shop personnel for assignments and to resolve machining or quality issues. May perform other duties as assigned by supervisor. Skills & Experience Minimum of 2 years of related experience. Technical/trade school training or equivalent preferred. Knowledge of computer operations and applications. Must be able to read and comprehend engineering drawings, sketches and verbal and written communications to accomplish the job at hand.
