Supervises the daily work of the assigned dispatch personnel to plan, execute, monitor, and manage professionally the assigned drivers/equipment.## Essential Duties and Responsibilities:* Manage the daily operation ensuring customer satisfaction is successfully achieved* Provide solid leadership for Logistics and Operation Coordinators and handles escalations and issues as needed* Responsible for setting department goals, monitoring, controlling work flow, and ensuring an effective operating department* Ensure efficiency and safety of day-to-day operations for the entire fleet of tractors, trailers, and driver force* Monitor CSA Safety scores and implement training and disciplinary actions to resolve negative trends* Work with Safety Department and keeping up to date with tags, titles, registrations, Heavy-Use tax, and all other taxes and fees required by DOT and US law to operate a motor carrier* Work with Fleet Department Manager and mechanics keeping up to date with truck/trailer maintenance* Coach, train, and develop dispatch team to exceed goals with 8 – 10 dispatchers* Driver Management (ability to motivate and issue corrective actions) of over 50+ leased drivers## Job Requirements:* GPS tracking software knowledge* Able to conduct driver and dispatch meetings* Trucking industry operation or dispatch experience of 5 years or more* Excellent communication skills both oral and written* Proficient in Microsoft packages including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint* Proven organizational and managing skills## Job Type:* Full-time #J-18808-Ljbffr
