Our client is a construction firm, is looking for a Full-Time Accounts Payable Specialist. As an AP Specialist, you will be primarily responsible for general accounts payable day-to-day duties. We rely on a meticulous financial system to drive our business forward. The accounts payable (AP) department keeps that system running smoothly by managing cash flow and paying vendors and suppliers. We are looking for a specialist to join our team to help process, track, and record payments in an accurate, efficient, and timely manner. The successful candidate will possess a growth mindset, strong communication skills, professionalism, demonstrated technical experience, and a desire to succeed in a rapidly changing environment.

** What You Will Do: **

• Process vendor invoices and match purchase orders.
• Review invoices for documentation and approval prior to payment.
• Reconcile received material for billing.
• Respond to all co-workers and vendor inquiries in a professional and timely manner.
• Work directly with Project Managers and Accounting Staff for billing resolution.
• Explain billing invoices and accounting policies to staff, vendors, and clients.
• Clerical work such as filing, photocopies, and answering the phone.
• Qualifications:
• * A degree in accounting or finance.
  • Understand basic principles of finance, accounting, and bookkeeping.
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, comfortable in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to multi-task and take on new responsibilities as the business expands.
  • Excellent communication and analytical skills.
  • Ability to think “outside the box.”
  • Strong Excel skills.
  • Good sense of urgency and ability to prioritize
