Description: Hardstops: Applicants need to have trauma, neuro, vascular and ortho experience due to trauma status. May need to cover one night shift within their contract as needed. Ratios: Days 10RN 6ST, Nights 1RN 1ST, Weekends 3RN 2ST. Call will be distributed equally amongst all nursing staff every 6 weeks. This could be up to 6-8 shifts in a 6 week period (including nights, evenings and weekends/8 hrs). Float Required: Queen, Petaluma Valley, Hillsberg. Call Required: Yes. Weekend Coverage: False. Number of Weekend Shifts Per Contract: Per needs of unit. Pre-Approved Time Off: One. Orientation Hours: 40.

Patient Age Groups: Adolescents, Adults, Pediatrics, Geriatrics. Daily Census: 25 cases. Interdisciplinary Support: Respiratory Services, Interpretation Services, Radiology, Rapid Response Teams, Pharmacy, Transportation, Unit Secretary. Patient Diagnoses: Orthopedics (total joints and ortho trauma); Neurosurgery, Vascular, Robotics, General, GU & GYN. Special Procedures/Unit Details: Require: OR RNs with trauma, ortho, general, vascular, neuro, plastics, ent no unit secretary on night shift. Night shifts are usually staffed with 2 people - 1RN/1 ST or 2RN's, one who acts as the scrub. Having one team staffed with a trauma team on call is standard within the system. Special Equipment: May need to cover one night shift within their contract as needed.
