Position Summary:

Hollow Rock Manufacturing is seeking a dependable and hardworking Production & Warehouse Laborer to support daily warehouse and production operations at our Rockford, Illinois facility. This hands-on position plays a critical role in bagging finished products, palletizing inventory, staging raw materials, and maintaining a safe and organized work environment.

The ideal candidate is safety-focused, able to perform physically demanding work, and has experience operating forklifts in a warehouse or manufacturing environment. Individuals with warehouse, manufacturing, agricultural, food production, or distribution experience are encouraged to apply.

Core Responsibilities:

• Bag, package, and palletize finished products accurately and efficiently.
• Operate a forklift to move palletized inventory, raw materials, and finished goods throughout the warehouse and production areas.
• Open, prepare, and stage raw materials for production use.
• Load and unload materials as required.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area in compliance with company standards.
• Notify plant management of equipment, production, packaging, or bagging issues that may affect operations.
• Monitor and report low inventory levels of packaging materials, including bags, labels, shrink wrap, and slip covers.
• Follow all company safety procedures, Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs), and housekeeping expectations.
• Assist with general warehouse, production, and inventory-related tasks as assigned.
• Support continuous improvement efforts related to safety, quality, and operational efficiency.

Basic Qualifications:

• High school diploma or GED preferred.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Previous warehouse, manufacturing, production, agricultural, distribution, or food processing experience.
• Forklift experience and/or current forklift certification.
• Experience loading, unloading, palletizing, and inventory movement.
• Knowledge of warehouse safety practices and material handling procedures.
• Ability to work independently while following established procedures.
• Reliable attendance and strong work ethic.

Physical Requirements:

• Frequently lift, carry, push, and pull 50 pounds or more.
• Stand and walk for extended periods.
• Ability to work in warehouse and manufacturing environments with varying temperatures.
• Ability to safely operate powered industrial equipment, including forklifts.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing or warehouse environment.
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, twist, and perform repetitive motions for extended periods.
