ACCOUNTANT I

Position #14395 $19.96/hour - $26.41/hour The New Hampshire Lottery and Gaming Commission is seeking a full-time Accountant I . This position plays an important role in supporting the Commission's financial operations through accurate accounting practices, financial reconciliations, and internal control activities. Responsibilities include performing daily accounting functions, balancing and reconciling deferred revenue, auditing revolving prize funds, completing bank reconciliations, preparing and transmitting Positive Pay files, and conducting Internal Control System (ICS) financial verification activities, including online testing and validation of new Lottery games. YOUR EXPERIENCE COUNTS: Each additional year of approved formal education may be substituted for one year of required work experience and/or each additional year of approved work experience may be substituted for one year of required formal education. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Associate's degree and 1 year of experience OR equivalent combination of 3 years of education and experience after completion of high school. Relevant areas must be in accounting, business administration, auditing, finance, or a related field. License/Certification: Valid driver's license and/or have access to transportation. Trainee Option: Not applicable PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: Knowledge of accounting principles and methods, with the ability to apply and adapt established procedures to financial transactions. Ability to analyze detailed written and numerical data, perform accurate calculations, and maintain accurate accounting records.
