Maintenance Technician II

Location: 1095 West 100 South, Jasper, IN, 47546, United States Job Category: M098 Maintenance Tech., Craft Workers Relocation Expense Covered: No Employee Type: FT Manage Others: No Description Organizational Relationship The Maintenance Team Lead will report directly to the Maintenance Supervisor. Accountabilities Diagnose machine downtime independently Repair CNC equipment, automated systems, robotics cells, hot presses, etc. Troubleshoot servo drives, encoders, limit switches, safety circuits Rebuild mechanical assemblies and subassemblies Lead breakdown response efforts Mentor Level 1 technicians Recommend improvements to reduce recurring failures Communication with supervision and production teams Building complex electrical panels Works independently with minimal oversight May lead projects, machine installs, and major rebuilds Identifies root cause, not just failed part Handles electrical faults Works across mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and controls systems Perform other duties as may be assigned at manager’s discretion Requirements Characteristics & Attributes Strong mechanical systems knowledge: Precision alignment (laser or dial indicator methods) Gearboxes, ball screws, linear rails Hydraulic and pneumatic systems (valves, regulators, flow controls) Advanced electrical troubleshooting: 3-phase motor diagnostics VFD troubleshooting and parameter adjustment Control circuits (relays, contactors, overloads) PLC familiarity: Can monitor inputs/outputs Ladder logic understanding Troubleshoot sensor logic faults Reads and interprets: Electrical schematics Hydraulic diagrams Mechanical assembly prints Education & Experience 3–7+ years industrial machine repair experience Demonstrated ability to independently troubleshoot complex systems Physical Requirements Able to lift, push, pull, bend, stoop, use a ladder, and stand for an entire shift EOE, including disabled/vets #J-18808-Ljbffr Indiana Furniture
