Senior Java Web DeveloperThis is a remote opportunity for an experienced software engineer supporting enterprise web and API-based applications. The role combines hands-on backend and frontend development with application support, testing, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement. You will translate business requirements into reliable, well-documented solutions while maintaining high standards for code quality and security. Working closely with application specialists and client teams, you will troubleshoot production issues and deliver solutions within established service levels. The position requires strong technical judgment, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. You will also contribute to knowledge sharing, cross-training, technology adoption, and the evaluation of application upgrades. This is an opportunity to make a direct impact on enterprise applications while working with a broad Java technology stack.AccountabilitiesDesign, develop, test, and implement web and API-based software solutions for enterprise applications.Develop and unit test REST web services and web applications using tools such as SOAP UI and Postman.Build and maintain both backend and frontend components for web-based applications.Translate business requirements into maintainable code that follows established development, documentation, and design standards.Collaborate with application specialists and client stakeholders to support enterprise applications and resolve technical challenges.Investigate, assess, and triage application issues according to priority, urgency, and established service-level agreements.Resolve software defects thoroughly and within required timelines, escalating complex or high-priority issues when appropriate.Perform integration testing and contribute to delivering reliable, defect-free solutions.Manage multiple development and support priorities simultaneously while maintaining project timelines and quality standards.Analyze vendor-released application upgrades and assess their potential impact on existing systems.Participate in cross-training, knowledge sharing, and the development of technical best practices across teams.Learn and adopt new applications, technologies, and development tools as client environments evolve.Promote effective communication, collaboration, and strong working relationships with technical and client-facing teams.RequirementsAt least 6–7 years of professional experience as a Programmer/Analyst, Software Developer, IT Consultant, or in a comparable technical role.Strong hands-on experience with Java, AngularJS, Spring Framework, Spring Security, Hibernate, Maven, and Bootstrap.Experience working with Oracle, JBoss, GitLab, SQL Developer or Toad, JIRA, JBoss Cruise Control, and Eclipse.Solid understanding of REST web services, applications, unit testing, and integration testing.Practical experience with API testing and troubleshooting tools such as SOAP UI and Postman.Ability to develop across both frontend and backend layers of web applications.Strong SQL and database development knowledge, particularly within Oracle environments.Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related discipline is highly preferred.Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with sound judgment when diagnosing technical issues.Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a strong customer and client-service orientation.Ability to work independently with limited supervision while remaining collaborative and responsive to team needs.Strong attention to detail and a demonstrated commitment to software quality, documentation, and development standards.Ability to perform effectively under pressure, manage competing priorities, and consistently meet deadlines.Comfortable rapidly learning new applications and technologies within evolving enterprise environments.Team-oriented mindset with a willingness to share knowledge, support colleagues, and contribute to continuous improvement.Ability to perform computer-based work for extended periods and meet applicable workplace and accessibility requirements.BenefitsSalary: Approximately $115,000–$135,000 annually, depending on experience and education.Fully remote work opportunity.Full-time employment.Opportunity to work on enterprise web and API-based software solutions.Exposure to a broad Java, web development, database, and application-support technology stack.Opportunities for cross-training, knowledge sharing, and professional development.Collaborative environment focused on technical quality, teamwork, and continuous improvement.Opportunity to work directly with client-facing application teams and contribute to business-critical technology solutions.
