Clinical Research Coordinator II (Time Limited) - Anesthesiology

Position Summary The research coordinator supports the study protocol for the THRIVE study, which evaluates anesthesia effects on surgical recovery. The trial compares INVA and TIVA anesthetics to assess quality of recovery and intraoperative awareness risk. The coordinator handles coordination, recruitment, data collection, wearable device testing, and data management for this time‑limited position. Primary Duties & Responsibilities Assist in developing research plans and interpreting results; collaborate on manuscript preparation and grant proposals. Prepare protocol amendments and study design modifications. Coordinate the development of forms, questionnaires, and research techniques; write instructional procedure manuals. Review journals, abstracts, and scientific literature to inform study planning. Implement and manage all protocol phases; ensure compliance with guidelines and regulatory requirements. Establish record‑keeping systems and assess participant progress. Analyze, investigate, and report adverse events; decide when to notify physicians, stop inclusion, or adjust protocols. Resolve protocol management issues and recommend corrective actions. Serve as liaison with funding or sponsoring agencies. Evaluate and interpret collected clinical data; prepare oral or written presentations and reports. Perform other duties as assigned. Working Conditions Patient care setting; typically seated at a desk or table with office equipment. Required Qualifications Education: Bachelor’s degree or combination of education and/or experience that meets the minimum requirement. Certifications: Basic Life Support from the American Heart Association or American Red Cross; certification must be obtained within one month of hire. Work Experience: Minimum 2 years in clinical research. Skills: Clinical research, clinical study protocols, database management, research projects, spreadsheet analysis, statistical analysis software (SAS). Driver’s License: Not required. Preferred Qualifications No additional education, certifications, or work experience required. Salary Range Grade C10: $54,600.00 – $81,900.00 per year.
