Athletic Trainer - Full-Time

Job Description

We are seeking a licensed Athletic Trainer to provide injury prevention, evaluation, treatment, rehabilitation, and emergency care for athletes and patients. This role also supports orthopedic care and occupational health services.

Responsibilities

• Provide medical coverage for athletic events and after-school activities.
• Evaluate and manage sports-related injuries.
• Develop and support injury rehabilitation and return-to-activity plans.
• Perform concussion evaluations and manage return-to-play progression.
• Provide emergency care when needed.
• Document patient evaluations, treatments, and progress.
• Communicate findings and care plans with athletes, families, coaches, physicians, and therapists.
• Perform functional assessments, post-offer employment testing, and job-specific conditioning programs.
• Provide support in an orthopedic clinic, including taking patient histories and educating patients.
• Assist with occupational health and rehabilitation services.
• Coordinate event coverage schedules and collaborate with the healthcare team.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Athletic Training, Exercise Science, Kinesiology, or related field .
• Minimum 1 year of related experience .
• Current Wisconsin Athletic Trainer license .
• Board of Certification for Athletic Trainers (BOC) certification.
• Current BLS certification .
• Valid driver’s license.
• Strong communication, clinical assessment, and problem-solving skills.
