Job Title: Environmental Health & Safety Manager Employee Type: Full time Location: 495 S 99th Ave, Tolleson, AZ 85353 Schedule: Monday-Friday first shift, with flexibility as needed. Salary: $93k to $138k annually, plus bonus potential. Position Responsibilities Serve as a Subject Matter Expert to develop and implement site‑specific policies and programs ensuring compliance with safety and health requirements in accordance with federal, state, and local regulations (OSHA, EPA, and food standards). Manage daily activities to engage facility management, team leaders, and employees to increase awareness and education on safe and compliant work practices. Ensure injury prevention plans are created and executed, analyzing incident data to identify trends and preventable types. Perform job site analyses to determine employee and property exposures, instituting safe work practices. Conduct daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual safety inspections, document findings, and implement corrective actions. Maintain all required documentation related to safety issues and programs (accident reports, inspection reports, corrective action logs, training records). Responsible for hazardous waste control and disposal activities, training, collection, disposal, and record‑keeping as well as conservation programs within the organization. Coordinate environmental duties including SWPPP, NPDES Permit, internal and external environmental audits, Air Pollution Permit, Air quality inspections, dust collector reports, hazardous waste, TIER II Report, corporate environmental audit, and annual training. Monitor and support security‑related events. Participate and manage local risk/claims management program. Support and participate in management operating structure to activate improvement and lead acceleration of employee ownership over safety. Support all plant food safety initiatives to ensure quality and food safety standards are met. Qualifications and Requirements Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Industrial Technology, Environmental, Occupational Health & Safety or related field. 3+ years of progressive experience in environmental, safety, and sustainability management. Strong knowledge of safety regulations (OSHA, hazard communication, accident investigation, safety training methods). Knowledgeable of industry best practices regarding safety and environmental approaches with PSM & RMP safety practices. Master’s degree preferred. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Experience working in a manufacturing facility; food and beverage experience preferred. Ability to influence all levels of the organization from shop floor through plant leadership team. Preferred: ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, fundamentals of plane and solid geometry, and trigonometry. The employee may be required to lift up to 55 lbs. The position requires reading, writing, and oral communication in English.
