Job Brief
Kable Workforce Solutions is hiring a Payroll Specialist for our client. This job is responsible for managing employee timekeeping and payroll records, auditing timesheets, reviewing attendance and vacation records, resolving payroll questions, and supporting employee orientation while maintaining accuracy and confidentiality.

What’s a Typical Day Like?

• Set up temporary and new hourly employees in the timekeeping and payroll systems.
• Assign and maintain schedules for hourly employees.
• Audit department timesheets daily and process necessary corrections.
• Review attendance records and approved vacation time to identify pay-related issues.
• Answer payroll questions from employees and departments.
• Maintain accurate payroll files and records.
• Assist with weekly employee orientation.
• Handle payroll information confidentially and ensure accurate processing.

What Are the Requirements of the Job?

• High school diploma required; associate’s degree or equivalent experience preferred.
• Previous payroll experience; Paycor experience is a plus.
• Knowledge of accounting principles and procedures.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality when handling payroll and employee information.
• Ability to work accurately with employee records, timesheets, and payroll data.
• Willingness to wear safety glasses, steel-toe shoes, and hearing protection when on the plant floor.
• Ability to work in fast-paced environment.
• Ability to move or lift up to 50+ lbs.
• Ability to reach, grasp, hold, push, pull, bend, twist, squat, climb, kneel.
• Ability to utilize hand/eye coordination.
• Capability to stand for prolonged periods of time
• Communication skills.
