Baer is looking for 508 Tester for a 6 month Federal Remote Project. Title: 508 TesterLocation: Remote (Must be based in US)
Duration: 6 months
Rate: All-inclusive
Alignment: W2 or C2C Overview We are seeking a detail-oriented 508 Accessibility Tester to evaluate web and mobile applications for compliance with Section 508 accessibility standards. The ideal candidate will perform accessibility testing, identify and document accessibility issues, and work closely with development and design teams to ensure applications are accessible to users with disabilities. Description:
- Conduct Section 508 compliance testing of web applications across iOS and Android devices.
- Perform manual and automated accessibility testing using industry-standard tools.
- Identify, document, and track accessibility defects with clear and actionable recommendations.
- Validate compliance with WCAG, ARIA, and Section 508 standards.
- Collaborate with developers, designers, and business stakeholders to support issue remediation.
- Participate in accessibility reviews and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
- Produce structured defect reports aligned with project and program standards.
- Participate in Agile ceremonies and work effectively within cross-functional teams.
- Stay current with evolving accessibility regulations, tools, and best practices.
Public Trust Security Clearance is the lowest level of additional background screening that the federal government requires for applicants of certain jobs, which includes completing a Standard Form 85 (SF85) form.
