Senior Litigation Attorney

Position Title: Senior Litigation Associate For an accomplished litigator ready to run point on sophisticated, high-stakes cases, this is an opportunity to step into real ownership without sacrificing access to experienced partners. A high-end boutique litigation practice is seeking a Senior Litigation Associate with 8–10 years of civil litigation experience to manage complex matters spanning commercial disputes, white-collar matters, government investigations, healthcare fraud, employment‑related litigation, trade secrets, and founder disputes. Working directly with partners and lean case teams, this attorney will take significant responsibility for strategy, briefing, depositions, court appearances, and the day‑to‑day advancement of matters involving stakes ranging from millions to hundreds of millions of dollars. The ideal candidate combines exceptional writing and courtroom skills with top‑tier judgment, intellectual horsepower, and the confidence to independently drive cases forward while remaining collaborative and low‑ego. Salary Range : $230,000 - $260,000 / Year, DOE Responsibilities Take primary ownership of sophisticated civil litigation matters with partner oversight Develop case strategy and proactively drive matters through each stage of litigation Draft polished, filing‑ready briefs, motions, and other substantive legal work product Take and defend depositions and participate in hearings, court appearances, and other advocacy Manage discovery, legal research, case analysis and strategic decision‑making Lead day‑to‑day execution on smaller matters and play a senior role on larger, team‑based cases Coordinate effectively with partners, associates, paralegals and support professionals Identify risks, opportunities and next steps without waiting for individual assignments Communicate complex legal issues clearly and persuasively to courts, clients and internal teams Requirements JD from a highly regarded law school with a strong academic background Active California Bar membership 8–10 years of sophisticated civil litigation experience Significant experience in complex litigation or closely aligned practice areas Exceptional legal writing skills with the ability to independently produce filing‑ready work Demonstrated experience taking and defending depositions Meaningful in‑person court and oral advocacy experience Strong strategic judgment and the ability to independently manage substantial components of a case Benefits Medical, dental, and vision insurance benefits 401(k) with employer match Generous paid time off with additional PTO earned based on tenure Paid holidays Significant performance‑based bonus opportunities Hybrid work environment #J-18808-Ljbffr Boutique Recruiting
