Schedule appointments within mandated timeframes while ensuring referrals comply with network and payer requirements. Stay up to date on referral policies, managed care matrixes, and payer guidelines to accurately determine financial responsibility for services. Serve as the primary liaison between patients, healthcare providers, and third-party payers to resolve coverage barriers and communicate authorization denials. Log detailed updates in patient medical records regarding authorization statuses, coverage restrictions, action steps, and appointment details. What minimum requirements you’ll need Education: High school diploma OR equivalent required. Work Experience: 2+ years prior authorization experience required.
