Vice President of Development

Position Summary The Vice President of Development will lead strategic business development efforts for Verde Solutions, with a strong emphasis on revenue growth, channel development, market expansion, relationship management, and high value opportunity origination. This role reports directly to Chris Gersch and is designed for a leader who can both produce and build. Key Responsibilities Drive revenue growth through partnerships, channel relationships, and direct origination Establish and lead market expansion initiatives Manage and nurture relationships with external and internal stakeholders Source and advance high value opportunities across Verde Solutions’ core offerings Recruit and help develop top business development talent Work closely with leadership, legal, finance, and operations to move opportunities through execution Required Qualifications 7+ years in business development, sales leadership, project development, or related growth roles Strong experience in solar, energy storage, EV charging, energy services, infrastructure, or adjacent industries Demonstrated ability to originate and close complex, high value commercial opportunities Experience building strategic partnerships and channel relationships Strong communication, leadership, and executive presence Ability to manage multiple stakeholders and move deals from origination through execution Strong business judgment, urgency, and accountability Preferred Qualifications Existing relationships in commercial and industrial energy markets Experience scaling teams or recruiting producers Familiarity with financial structures, project economics, and long cycle sales environments Experience working with developers, EPCs, consultants, municipalities, school districts, or institutional buyers Compensation and Upside Base salary of $180,000 to $220,000, based on experience Bonuses Based of Net Profit on qualified Verde Solutions deals above annual quota Project Bonuses of earned project commission paid within 30 days of permit approval, with the balance paid at the final project milestone Consultant override structure on Verde Solutions business Long term equity participation opportunity for exceptional performers, subject to company approval and governing documents Standard employee benefits Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Finance or Business, or related field (Master’s degree preferred) #J-18808-Ljbffr Verde Solutions
