Senior Project Engineer

Position Overview Growing South‑East General Contractor (GC) is seeking highly talented and ambitious Senior Project Engineers to ignite their careers on high‑end large construction projects. Salary: $90,000 – $115,000 per year. Company Overview We’re a large, well‑established regional General Contractor with a dominant presence across the Southeast. Our core focus is student housing and mid‑to‑high‑rise multifamily developments, typically ranging from $40M to $150M+ in value. This is a high‑volume, repeat‑client environment where speed, precision, and execution matter. Projects are complex, schedules are aggressive, and teams are expected to perform at a high level. Benefits Strong pipeline of ground‑up student housing & urban mid/high‑rise projects Clear runway to Assistant Project Manager / Project Manager Exposure to large‑scale builds ($40M–$150M+) Stable, repeat‑client business model (not chasing one‑off work) Competitive base + bonus + travel package/per diem Opportunity to work with high‑performing teams in a fast‑paced environment Key Responsibilities Lead RFI, submittal, and document control processes with minimal oversight Coordinate with subcontractors, vendors, and field teams to maintain schedule and quality Assist in project scheduling, phasing plans, and look‑ahead planning Track and manage project costs, change orders, and budget impacts Support buyout and procurement efforts for key trades Drive QA/QC processes and ensure work aligns with plans/specifications Maintain strong communication between field operations and office teams Assist in project closeout, punch lists, and turnover documentation Qualifications 4–8+ years of experience in commercial construction Experience on student housing, multifamily, or mid/high‑rise projects strongly preferred Proven ability to manage project documentation and coordination independently Comfortable working in a fast‑paced, deadline‑driven environment Strong understanding of construction processes, sequencing, and logistics Proficient with tools like Procore, Bluebeam, MS Project, or similar Willingness to travel throughout the Southeast (project‑based assignments) Degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field preferred Equal Opportunity & Legal Notice Jobot is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
