POSITION SUMMARY

HR Consulting Solutions, a leading international executive search firm, has been retained by a fast-growing, highly respected engineering company in the Carolinas to recruit a Civil ProjectEngineer. Our client is a recognized leader incivil and environmental engineering, known for its strong industry reputation and commitment to excellence. This position offers an exciting opportunity for a driven professional with 4+ years of civil engineering experience to contribute to impactful projects across the Southeast.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Lead and contribute to site design for commercial, residential, and industrial developments, including industrial park design, storm drainage systems, water/wastewater systems, and roadway design. Coordinate permitting processes with various regulatory agencies. Develop and present engineering reports, site plans, and design documents to clients and regulatory agencies. Manage project phases, including bidding, contract award, and construction administration. Oversee construction observation to ensure compliance with project specifications. Conduct site visits to assess project progress and address technical challenges. Collaborate with internal teams, clients, and regulatory agencies to ensure project success. Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and support staff. Utilize innovative engineering solutions to enhance project efficiency and sustainability.

MINIMUM EDUCATION, SKILLS, AND QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering. Registered Professional Engineer (PE). 4+ years of experience in civil engineering, preferably with a civil consulting firm. Experience working directly with clients and presenting technical findings. Strong knowledge of design, permitting, and construction processes. Deep understanding of federal, state, and local regulations related to civil and environmental engineering. Proficiency in AutoCAD, Microsoft Word, and Excel. Experience with Civil 3D and Land Development software is a plus. Excellent communication and organizational skills to work effectively with clients and project teams. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to develop creative solutions. Capable of managing multiple projects and deadlines effectively. Ability to work independently and take ownership of responsibilities with minimal supervision.
