Controls EngineerWe are seeking a skilled and motivated PLC Service Engineer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong experience in PLC programming, troubleshooting, and maintenance. As a PLC Service Engineer, you will be responsible for ensuring the optimal performance of our clients' automation systems. This role serves as a key subject matter expert and resource internally, and for our customers.ResponsibilitiesProgram, troubleshoot, and maintain PLC systems to ensure optimal performance.Provide exceptional customer support and service engineering.Develop and maintain electrical schematics using AutoCAD Electrical.Apply process controls and ensure compliance with UL and NEC standards.Assist in the design and programming of SCADA systems and HMI interfaces.Collaborate with customers to interface and support their automation needs.Participate in 24/7 Support Team coverage on a rotational basis, including night and weekend availability to respond to support calls.Perform panel layout and wiring functions in the panel shop.Travel to customer manufacturing facilities, approximately 10-15% of the time, and adhere to PPE requirements.Essential SkillsMinimum of a Bachelor of Science Degree in Electrical Engineering from an ABET accredited school, or equivalent experience and evidence of exceptional ability.Five (5) years of progressive controls engineering experience.Proficiency in PLC programming languages such as Ladder Logic, Structured Text, and Function Block Diagram.Knowledge of various PLC brands such as Siemens, Allen-Bradley, and Mitsubishi.Experience with SCADA systems and HMI programming.Competence in programming Allen Bradley PLC platforms.Competence in programming FactoryTalk ME and SE platforms.Knowledge of programming Siemens PLC and HMI platforms.Experience in applying UL508A and applicable NFPA codes.Ability to use CAD software for developing P&I drawings and electrical control panel design.Valid driver's license.Authorization to work in the United States.Additional Skills & QualificationsExperience with electrical and automation systems.Strong customer support and service skills.Ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex issues.Strong communication and collaboration skills.Work EnvironmentProfessional and deadline-oriented environment in an office setting. Participation in 24/7 Support Team coverage on a rotational basis, requiring night and weekend availability to respond to support calls. Occasional work in the panel shop performing panel layout and wiring functions. On-site trips to customer's manufacturing facilities, exposing you to a typical rubber compounding facility environment (10% - 15% travel). Adherence to PPE requirements while at customer's facility (Safety Glasses, Safety Shoes, Hearing Protection, Arc Flash rating clothing, high visibility vest, etc.).Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $80000.00 - $105000.00/yr.What We Offer: • A competitive (exempt) hourly wage; you get paid for all the hours worked. • $15 per hour bonus while working in the field. • Earn double time while working on after hours support. • Fully funded health insurance premiums.
