Job Summary:
A Registered Nurse (RN) specializing in NeuroSurgical care is required for a Medical Surgical Unit located in Saint Louis, Missouri. Candidates are expected to provide high-quality patient care to individuals with neurological diagnoses or post-neurosurgery conditions. This role requires candidates to bring their license on the first day of assignment.

Job Details:

• Position: RN - NeuroSurgical
• Specialty: Medical Surgical / Neuroscience
• Location: Saint Louis, MO
• Shift: Night shift, 7:00 PM 7:30 AM, with a minimum of 36 hours per week and 12-hour shift hours
• Duration: 13 to 26 weeks, with the possibility of extension
• Required Qualifications: Valid nursing license, BLS (Basic Life Support) certification, NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification, minimum 1 year of inpatient acute care experience in Medical Surgical and Neuroscience units
• Preferred Qualifications: Willingness for occasional Charge nurse responsibilities; charge experience is helpful but not required
• Float: Float rotation may be required within scope of practice
• Additional Information: Candidates should be prepared to work at least one major winter holiday (e.g., Thanksgiving, Christmas, or New Years Day). The unit focuses on patients with stroke, seizures, multiple sclerosis, back/head/spinal neurosurgical procedures, and other neurological diagnoses.
