Network Engineer

Piper Companies is hiring a Network Engineer for a pharmaceutical and healthcare company that makes treatments for diabetes and chronic conditions located in Clayton, NC. The Network Engineer will provide Tier 1 IT network support for a large-scale facility expansion report. Network Engineer will work onsite five days a week in Clayton, NC in a one-year contract role. Responsibilities Troubleshoot and resolve issues with network devices and infrastructure systems Ensure network security and compliance with internal policies and industry regulations Manage and maintain network systems, including updates and lifecycle improvements Implement and support IT network projects, including setup, testing, and deployment Create and maintain accurate network documentation and coordinate with IT teams Requirements 5+ years of related experience Bachelor’s degree Strong foundation in networking Experience in manufacturing or operational technology (OT) environments with ability to troubleshoot infrastructure issues Knowledge of network setup, cabling, and documentation, including diagrams and system layouts Networking certifications (e.g., CCNA, CCNP) are a plus Compensation $140,000 - $165,000 at an hourly pay rate Full Comprehensive Benefits: Health, Vision, Dental, PTO, Paid Holiday and Sick Leave if Required by Law This job opens for applications on 6/24/26.
