Senior Accountant

job summary:
We are partnering with a premier client in the Northern Westchester area to recruit a talented Senior Accountant for their growing team. They are seeking a self-motivated professional with a strong accounting background who can independently manage and assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial data.

responsibilities:
Complete daily assigned G/L and other financial transactions in accordance with accounting principals

Assist in prep of monthly, quarterly and yearly financial data including income statements and balance sheet

Collect and compile simple financial information and assist senior accountant to prepare accurate and timely financial reports and accounting statements for managers

Reports may include P&L statements, balance sheets, depreciation statements, cash flow, debt and creditor list and repayment schedules and regulatory reports and filings.

Answer standard accounting procedure questions by researching and interpreting accounting policies and regulations

Complies with all accounting principals and relevant regulations and laws and standards

qualifications:



Qualifications:

Bachelors Degree in Accounting or Finance

Foundational understanding of GAAP - IFRS awareness a plus

Proficiency with Excel

Strong attention to detail

Good Communication and willingness to learn
