Manufacturing Process Engineer

We are currently assisting our client with a Manufacturing Process Engineer search in the Reading, PA area. This engineer will be focused on developing, scaling, and improving manufacturing processes for soft magnetic materials and stack components used in high-performance applications such as EVs, robotics, and aerospace. The engineer will partner with R&D, product design, quality, and suppliers to move prototypes into stable production while driving process efficiency, quality, and documentation.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead process development and support scaling efforts for specialized manufacturing processes
• Design and document parts, fixtures, and production processes used in manufacturing
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to transition prototypes into scalable production
• Optimize production workflows to improve efficiency and consistency
• Apply process improvement methods to support better output, reduce waste, and maintain quality
• Evaluate equipment, tooling, and automation, and support root cause analysis, corrective actions, supplier development, and process documentation

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Materials Science, Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field required
• 5+ years of manufacturing engineering experience, preferably in advanced materials, precision manufacturing, or stack assembly environments
• Familiarity with ISO 9001, AS9100, or similar quality systems, along with strong problem-solving, communication, organization, and decision-making skills
