Job Description Job Title: Talend Developer Location: Austin, TX. Employment: Full Time (Permanent) Basic Requirements Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent required from an accredited institution. Will also consider three years of progressive experience in the specialty in lieu of every year of education. At least 4 years of experience with Information Technology. Preferred Qualifications At least 2 years of experience with DW/BI and ETL tools. Must have experience gathering technical requirements and specifications to determine appropriate ETL solutions and architecture. At least 2 years of hands‑on experience in Design, Development & Build activities in Talend Projects – MUST. Past experience with AbInitio ETL Tool – MUST. At least 2 years of experience in Project life cycle activities on DW/BI development and maintenance projects. Experience with Unix/Linux environment and scripting. Experience in conducting code reviews and providing guidance to development team. Experience with multiple major RDBMS systems, i.e., DB2, Oracle. Strong knowledge of Dimensional Modelling, DW architecture, ETL Frameworks, Design and Development using Talend, Best Practices and Troubleshooting. Working knowledge of Talend Data Integration tool. Exposure to other Talend Product Suites. Experience with Core Java development is a plus. Experience with Hadoop and big data technology is a plus. Experience with design and implementation of ETL/ELT framework for complex warehouses/marts. Hands-on development mentality, with a willingness to troubleshoot and solve complex problems. Ability to work in a team in a diverse/multiple stakeholder environment. Experience in Finance domain. Strong analytical skills. High impact communication. Ability to ramp up in new technologies.
