Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Education, Special Education, or Visual Impairments, active Teacher of the Visually Impaired certification and 1+ years Teacher of the Visually Impaired experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

Qualifications and Experience Sought:

• Hold current GA TVI licensure/certification
• Possess an active GA Educator Certificate
• Previous school-based experience working with students who are visually impaired
• Skill in delivering instruction in Braille and/or expanded core curriculum
• Comfort supporting students in ASD/Severe classroom environments a plus
• Reliable transportation and flexibility to work part time (20 hours/week with Brailling or 7-8 hours/week without Brailling)
• Willingness to participate in virtual interview and start for the 2026–2027 school year

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver direct TVI services to assigned students in-person (VOCO/virtual considered)
• Provide Braille instruction and utilize expanded core curriculum as needed
• Participate in IEP processes, goal-setting, and progress monitoring
• Collaborate on Medicaid billing and school records when applicable
• Maintain communication with families and staff to maximize student success
