Software Tester - Remote (UK) - Salary 40k-45k (DOE)Our client, a respected technology-led business in the services sector, is looking for a meticulous Software Test Analyst / QA Engineer to join their growing team. This is an excellent opportunity to work across multiple digital platforms, ensuring the delivery of high-quality, reliable software products.The RoleYou'll be responsible for designing, executing, and maintaining test plans, test cases, and test scripts, coordinating testing efforts across various products and platforms. Working closely with developers, project managers, and clients, you'll ensure every release meets the highest standards before it goes live.Key ResponsibilitiesCreate and maintain test plans and test cases to agreed standardsExecute manual and automated tests across web, desktop, and mobile applicationsRaise, track, and report defects using JiraEnsure 100% test execution within each sprintContribute to daily stand-ups and sprint reviewsSupport regression testing and continuous improvement of QA processesLiaise with clients to provide updates and ensure satisfactionEssential Skills & KnowledgeExperience testing web, desktop, and mobile softwareUnderstanding of software lifecycle and Agile methodologiesStrong knowledge of testing processes and documentationExperience with automation tools such as Appium, Selenium, or PlaywrightAbility to write test plans and BDD Gherkin test casesFamiliarity with C#, SQL, and WebAPI testing (or willingness to learn)Excellent attention to detail and customer service focusDesirable SkillsKnowledge of Jira / Zephyr Scale and Postman (or similar API tools)ISTQB qualification (or working towards it)Exposure to test automation frameworks and continuous integration environmentsAbout YouYou're detail-oriented, methodical, and proactive - able to manage multiple projects while maintaining a calm, solution-focused approach.
