Houseperson/ Room UtilitySchulte Hospitality Group is seeking a dynamic, service-oriented part-time Houseperson/ Room Utility to join our team! Our portfolio includes a wide array of reputable brands like Marriott, Hilton, IHG and Hyatt as well as many unique, independent, boutique and lifestyle properties and restaurants.Job Duties and ResponsibilitiesCleans and maintains all hotel public areas, including restrooms, hallways, stairwells, etc. to meet quality standardsCleans bathrooms, dusts furniture and pictures, vacuums, sweeps and mops floorsCleans door glass and windowsCleans elevator doors, floors, walls, and thresholdStrips linen from guestroom beds as directedDelivers clean linen to the housekeepersEmpties carts of soiled linen and disposes trashRemoves spots, insects and debris, polishes fixtures and cleans ashtraysDelivers items to rooms upon request and assists in cleaning guest rooms as needed Other duties as assignedPicks up trash in the parking lot and surrounding groundsChanges trash on the exterior of the buildingEducation and ExperienceMinimum of High School education, post-high school education preferredMinimum of 1 year in Housekeeping roleKnowledge, Skills and AbilitiesAbility to multi-taskAbility to communicate effectively verbally and in writingTeam playerAbility to exceed expectations of guestsKnowledge of cleanliness standardsThe hiring process may consist of a phone interview, manager(s) interview, reference checks, and potential employment assessment.
