Full Time Extex Engineered Products, Gilbert, AZ, US 5 days ago Requisition ID: 2045 Extex a division of Kaman located in Gilbert, Arizona is looking for an experienced and dynamic Sr Design Engineer. The individual will play a key role in a variety of projects through the engineering of components/systems for aircraft gas turbine engines (including turbines, blades, nozzles, vanes, combustors, transmission gears and gear assemblies) also helicopter components (including rotor systems, transmission gears, bearings and structural components and assemblies). Required Skills: Problem solving Initiative, results oriented Organization Ability to effectively communicate highly technical concepts to a variety of audiences Experience: Minimum of 10 years related experience in Engineering required. Minimum of 5 years related experience in Aerospace/Aviation required. Proven ability to design and engineer aircraft components/systems. Strong understanding of engineering specifications (AS, ASME, Mil, ASTM, etc) Experience working with outside vendors. Familiarity with FAA regulations for obtaining intellectual property preferred. Knowledge of 3D modeling packages such as Solidworks and AutoCAD. Experience working with a DER is preferred. Education: Bachelor’s degree required in Mechanical Engineering or related field, or equivalent technical experience.
