Principal Analog Design Engineer

Job Summary:Working in the Advanced Power Systems group of the Power and Energy business line, candidate will be part of a team developing PMICs for auto and industrial applications.Architect designs of next generation PMICs.Lead these designs throughout the development stages until production.Key Challenges:Responsible for defining IC architecture and leading technical execution from design, verification, and validation of mixed-signal PMICs for automotive and industrial applications, ensuring all technical deliverables meet performance, quality, reliability, and safety requirements.Based on product and system requirement specifications, create and maintain the IC architecture, partitioning it into subsystem and interface specifications that support automotive and industrial power management solutions.Lead the analog design aspects of product development, driving architecture definition, circuit implementation, and validation for high-performance PMICs used in automotive and industrial systems.Lead the design and development of analog and mixed-signal circuits for DC-DC converters, including error amplifiers, voltage and current references, compensation networks, current sensing circuits, protection circuits, gate drivers, startup circuits, and power sequencing functions.Ensure compliance with automotive and industrial standards, addressing challenges related to power efficiency, robustness, functional safety, thermal performance, and long-term reliability.Collaborate closely with digital, system, validation, and application teams to deliver scalable power management solutions for automotive and industrial customers.Align with customers and product definers to set the right product targets for automotive and industrial PMIC solutions.Support test and quality teams during the product development cycle to ensure robust performance, reliability, and compliance.Work with other team members to build design knowledge and continuously improve PMIC development methodologies and ways of working.Job Qualifications:MSEE requiredMinimum 10 years of experience in the development of mixed signal ICs, preferably >5 years as architect or technical leaderFamiliar with integrated circuit electronics including device level physics, particularly analog system and transistor level circuit designExperience power management designs is highly desirableExpert in DC-DC architecture and Design.Experience with the Cadence design tools: Virtuoso, Spectre, AMS etcCreative thinker with helicopter view, capable of finding an appropriate solution to complex problemsGood communicator in both oral and written EnglishTeam player, able to work in a cross-functional-team environmentBusiness Line Description:Join a world class team working on state of the art auto and industrial products.
