Job Overview A law firm seeks a midlevel associate in Seattle, WA, with one to five years of patent prosecution experience in a biotechnology practice. An advanced degree, preferably a Ph.D., in a life sciences technology area is desired. Duties Conduct patent prosecution in biotechnology practice. Collaborate with clients to develop patent strategies. Prepare and file patent applications. Advise clients on patentability and infringement issues. Requirements One to five years of patent prosecution experience. Advanced degree in life sciences technology area preferred. Patent bar membership (USPTO Registration Number) required. Must pass the patent bar exam within 12 months of hire. Education Advanced degree in life sciences technology area preferred. Certifications USPTO Registration Number required. Skills Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills. Excellent written and verbal communication abilities. Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
