The Automotive Sales Associate is responsible for answering questions about the products and services the dealership offers with the purpose of making customers feel welcome and supported through the car-purchasing process.

Responsibilities include offering assistance or direction to any customer who enters the car dealership, assisting customers in making a purchase decision, working directly with employees and customers to develop relationships, explaining product performance, application, and benefits to prospective customers, and reporting to the Sales Manager regarding objectives, planned activities, reviews, and analyses.

Qualifications include enthusiasm and high energy throughout the sales workday, a friendly, competitive personality, strong customer service, communication skills, computer and basic math skills, interest in training additional sales associates, and a clean driving record with a valid drivers license.

Physical Requirements: The physical requirements of the position are medium in intensity. Must be able to sit/stand/walk for long periods of time. Visual acuity requirements include color, depth perception and field of vision comparable necessary to drive vehicles safely. Constant reaching, sitting, standing, walking, fingering, grasping, feeling, talking, hearing. Frequent repetitive motion. Occasional balancing, kneeling, crouching, pushing, pulling, lifting up to 20 lbs.

Physical Working Conditions: This position is subject to inside and outside environmental working conditions including but not limited to temperature changes, outside weather conditions, slightly elevated ambient noise levels, minor potential physical hazards as electrical, mechanical, and cleaning equipment, and minor atmospheric conditions affecting skin or respiratory systems such as fumes, odors and dusts associated with operating an auto dealership.
