What we’re looking for:

• Active New York State teaching license or certification, with eligibility to teach art or a willingness to blend art instruction into general curriculum
• Experience or strong interest in general education and classroom management
• Flexibility to travel between multiple locations within the region during the week
• Excellent communication skills and a collaborative mindset
• Readiness to work in person, engaging students face-to-face in an educational setting
• Positive attitude and a true passion for cultivating creativity in students

Key responsibilities:

• Deliver in-person art instruction to students (age group to be confirmed)
• Foster an engaging, welcoming, and inclusive classroom atmosphere
• Develop lesson plans that excite and motivate learners in art, cultivating hands-on exploration and skill growth
• Collaborate with teaching assistants or other educators when appropriate, ensuring consistency and support for all students
• Provide constructive feedback to help students progress and thrive artistically and academically
• Maintain accurate records and contribute to a supportive school culture during the academic term

This position offers a consistent 35-hour work week from early September through late June. Applicants from any teaching discipline, with a particular passion for art, are encouraged to apply.
