Senior Manager - Manufacturing Programs - Process Owner Organization

Amgen seeks a Senior Manager to lead the Process Owner organization within its new manufacturing facility in North Carolina. The role involves providing technical stewardship and manufacturing support for drug substance operations, managing a team of Process Owners, and establishing expanded shift coverage. The manager will partner across operations, quality, engineering, and supply chain functions to ensure effective process governance and continuous improvement.
Responsibilities
- Lead Process Owner organization providing technical stewardship for drug substance unit operations
- Direct management, mentoring, and career development for Process Owner staff members
- Establish and lead swing-shift Process Owner team for expanded manufacturing coverage
- Coordinate hypercare support, manufacturing change implementation, and operational readiness activities
- Serve as primary interface between Manufacturing Operations and Quality, Engineering, Process Development
Requirements
- Doctorate degree with 2+ years biotech/pharma industry experience
- Master's degree with 6+ years biotech/pharma industry experience
- Bachelor's degree with 8+ years biotech/pharma industry experience
- Associate's degree with 10+ years biotech/pharma industry experience
- High school diploma/GED with 12+ years biotech/pharma industry experience
- Process ownership and manufacturing operations technical expertise
- Leadership and team development experience
