By hiring the best people and helping them grow both professionally and personally, we ensure a bright future for NTT DATA Services and for the people who work here.NTT DATA Services currently seeks a ETL/Data Warehouse QA Engineer to join our team in Phoenix, Arizona (US-AZ), United States (US).Technical Duties:As an ETL-Data warehouse Test Analyst you will be responsible for the following:• Understand the existing data warehouse/databases, inbound data files and data ingestion process.• Design, plan and execute product testing including functional testing, system integration testing, regression testing and performance testing – for an analytics product including data visualizations and ETL.• Estimate, plan and execute testing activities for analytics content• Design, write and execute effective manual and automated test cases and create test data as needed• Discover, reproduce, prioritize, retest and clearly document system defects• Develop, update and maintain relevant test metric reporting• Perform test coverage analysis and requirements tracing. Actively participate with the team in software requirements, design and code reviews to provide early and continuous feedback• Work with team to continually improve test processes and practices based on inspection, adaption of previous iterations and to ensure adherence to process, tools and metrics standards within the project team.• Understand data flow and test strategy for ETL and visualization testing• Write advanced SQL queries for ETL/data warehousing/visualization testing.• Possess ability to research issues and improve processes.• Develop and deliver the artifacts in Agile methodologyEducation: Bachelor/Master of Computer Application or equivalent engineering/IT degree from an accredited University.Technical Skills:•5+ years of experience in Data warehouse (DW) testing, understanding DW testing requirements and develop test cases to assure that the data that has been loaded from a source to destination after business transformation is accurate•5+ years Strong knowledge of SQL and SQL Server.•5+ years of experience in ETL and data warehousing testing and BI reporting tool testing.•5+ years experience with test automation for Database testing.•5+ years strong exposure to Software Testing tools like ALM (Quality Center), JIRA•5+ years In-depth experience and demonstrated proficiency with QA methodology, process and deliverables.•5+ years expertise required in source to target data testing, data completeness testing, ETL job setup and validations.•5+ years of experience in software testing life cycle techniques and estimation methods.•5+ years of knowledge of test planning activities & tools, test environment setup methods, test scripting methods and tools.•5+ years of knowledge of data modelling, data warehousing and visualization concepts.•5+ years of proficient in tools like Visual Studio, VSTS (Visual Studio Team Services), TFS (Team Foundation Server)/Azure DevOps.•5+ yeas of knowledge of tools like SSRS, SSIS and SSAS•5+ years with Agile methodology for project• Experience of working with teams across other geographies in onshore/offshore modelFunctional Skills:• Strong domain knowledge of Healthcare specially Payer domain• Very good understanding of Membership, Claims, Pharmacy orders• Ability to adapt quickly to an existing, complex environment and learn new concepts / software technologies as needs arise• Adaptable and flexible meet demands, being relentless and passionate to get the job done• Strong work prioritization, planning and organizational skills.This position is only available to those interested in direct staff employment opportunities with NTT DATA, Inc. or its subsidiaries.
