Elementary Teacher Grades 2‑5 St. Gertrude the Great School (Bell Gardens) Salary: $48,823 to $56,983 Year DOE Seeking a positive, energetic, hard‑working, collaborative teacher to plan and implement student‑centered lessons based on California Common Core standards. The teacher uses data to inform instruction and technology to enhance learning. Experience with Success for All (SFA) Solidarity Initiative is a plus. Responsibilities Demonstrate mastery of related subject matter, instructional skills, and resource materials for courses taught. Help students increase their fluency, reading comprehension, and passion for reading. Design innovative lessons that align with the Common Core and State Standards, using differentiated instruction, formative assessment, and student‑centered classroom practices. Bring the faith to life in the classroom. Maintain a safe, organized classroom that supports independent learning, collaboration, and choice. Utilize a variety of effective instructional and management techniques. Provide consistent, immediate feedback to student learning and ask analytical questions when disaggregating data. Monitor and maintain a positive classroom environment that supports the school‑wide behavior expectations, engaging and respectful students, and providing cooperative learning opportunities. Communicate effectively and regularly with parents. Use available technology to enhance students’ learning experiences. Demonstrate a commitment to continuous professional growth and collaboration with colleagues. Requirements Bachelor’s degree (BA/BS) in Elementary Education from an accredited university/college. A valid California Multiple Subject Teaching Credential and/or a Master’s Degree (or actively working toward a CA Credential). Experience of at least three years of teaching preferred but will consider qualified new teachers.
