Coordinate and facilitate all aspects of M.G.L. 71B 603 CMR 28.00 (Special Education Regulations). Act as liaison with parents/families, building principals, staff, and community agencies to facilitate specialized services. Ensure final versions of all Individualized Educational Plans (IEPs) on caseloads. Attend scheduled professional development sessions as designated by the SEZP Student Support & Services Senior Admin Team. Coordinate transition planning from middle to high school, HS to post‑HS, designing procedures to address regulations and facilitating student and parent programs. Coordinate completion and submission of 688 referrals. Complete Summary of Performance forms for graduating high school students. Collaborate with the Assistant Principal of Special Education to facilitate bi‑weekly or monthly professional learning communities for special education teachers. Provide individualized coaching and support to teachers and paraprofessionals. Support MCAS ALT implementation. Maintain a compliance log and all documentation related to the IEP process for assigned schools. Qualifications Experience teaching at the middle or high school level. Valid Massachusetts DESE educator license in the appropriate subject and grade level. Demonstrated ability to support a range of learners through strong instruction and relationship‑building. Bilingual English/Spanish proficiency (preferred). Bachelor’s degree (required).
