Pay: $87,750-$97,500 per year, DOE Benefits: Medical, dental, vision, 403(b), PTO, student loan forgiveness, and more Location: Seattle, WA. Choose from our three office locations as your home base: Seattle (MLK office), SeaTac City Hall, or downtown Kent (King County office building), with occasional travel to other offices as needed to meet with clients. Who You Are: You’re a detail oriented and compassionate attorney who enjoys working directly with clients and supporting complex immigration cases. You’ll bring: Strong attention to detail and documentation accuracy The ability to work with clients who may have experienced trauma Excellent communication and advocacy skills A collaborative and team oriented mindset Sound independent judgment Qualifications Include: Law degree and bar admission in the U.S. 1+ year practicing immigration law in the U.S., including family based, humanitarian, and asylum/refugee cases Experience working with refugee or immigrant communities Experience with employment based, juvenile, or other protection-based immigration cases is a plus Valid driver’s license preferred Ability to pass a pre-employment background check ReWA requires all legal staff working in immigration to become DOJ accredited What You’ll Do: As a Staff Attorney at ReWA, you’ll play a key role in supporting refugee and immigrant clients through every stage of their immigration journey. Your day will be varied and impactful, including: Direct Client Services: Prepare and file immigration applications for family based, humanitarian, and asylum/refugee cases (e.g., adjustment of status, family reunification petitions, VAWA, U/T visas, SIJS, TPS, naturalization, and more) Conduct interview preparation with clients to help them succeed in USCIS and court interviews Attend immigration interviews alongside clients, providing advocacy and support Provide legal counsel to clients facing complex immigration issues Program & Team Support: Advise and mentor paralegals and DOJ accredited representatives, ensuring accuracy and quality in immigration applications Review and sign legal documents for paralegals and DOJ accredited reps, including G-28s and applications Deliver training and onboarding for immigration staff, sharing best practices and legal updates Collaborate with the leadership team and other attorneys to maintain clear communication and high standards across the team Administrative & Reporting: Support program data tracking and reporting, helping the team achieve immigration outcomes and solve barriers Contribute input for grants, contracts, and the development of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) Community & Partnerships: Help build and maintain partnerships with immigration stakeholders, taskforces, and community organizations Work collaboratively with managers and directors to ensure clients benefit from all ReWA programs Other duties as assigned ReWA is committed to building a diverse, inclusive workforce and workplace.
