Program Assistant - MSROC

Position: Tenant Rights Program Assistant Program: Mission SRO Collaborative (MSROC) Reports to: Program Manager Compensation: $23–$25 per hour, Full‑time non‑exempt. Program and Position Summary The Mission SRO Collaborative works to improve living conditions and empower tenants in Single Room Occupancy (SRO) hotels in the Mission District of San Francisco. The Tenant Rights Program Assistant provides general administrative and clerical support, assists the Program Manager, and works directly with tenant leaders to support their organizing and campaign work. Key Responsibilities Support program with administrative work such as making flyers, inputting data, and organizing outreach and training materials Prepare and organize tenant events and holiday parties Support team with coordination, preparation, and facilitation of monthly tenant meetings Contact tenant leaders for meetings and events Conduct outreach in SROs in the Mission Support and lead tenant volunteer phonebank and outreach shifts Other Organizational Duties Conduct business in accordance with the Mission Action Employee Handbook, exercising sound judgment and serving the best interests of the agency and the community. Commit yourself to treating each community member with respect and dignity. Perform other duties as assigned. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Experience working with diverse backgrounds including low‑income, marginally housed, LGBTQ, people of color, and persons with disabilities.
