Advanced Practice Provider (NP or PA) - Waltham OBGYN (Full Time)

This position is full time, 30 hours per week, day shifts and can accommodate both NP and PA candidates. Minimum Qualifications NP: Master’s degree in Nursing, MA Nursing License, MA Board authorization to practice as an APRN NRSG. PA: Master’s degree in Physician Assistant, MA Physician Assistant license, ARC‑PA, NCCPA. Essential Responsibilities Assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of the plan of care for a panel of patients. Evaluate individual health care status of patients, including eliciting a patient history, performing a physical examination, ordering screening and diagnostic tests, conducting risk assessment and interpreting findings to establish a diagnosis. Develop and implement a plan of care, including treatments and medications within defined guidelines for practice. Provide patient care that incorporates principles of patient satisfaction and cost‑effective care. Participate in development and evaluation of practice guidelines. Monitor response to therapy and revise the plan as indicated, focusing on education, counseling and encouragement of self‑care. Provide ongoing individualized patient orientation to APG/BIDCO. Seek consultation from the consulting physician and other team members; make appropriate referrals as indicated by patient needs. Identify learning needs of patients and staff and collaborate with leaders to determine educational priorities. Participate in interdisciplinary education programs and provide clinical precepting for nursing students, NP students, medical students and others. Provide leadership that supports APG, BIDHC practice policies and goals. Required Qualifications Master’s degree in Nursing. Nursing License. Basic Life Support Certificate (American Heart Association). 1‑3 years of related work experience. Valid prescriptive authority from both the MA DPH‑DCP and Federal DEAMA Board authorization to practice as an APRN NRSG. Experience with computer systems, including web‑based applications and Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access). Preferred Qualifications Related primary care practice expertise. Competencies Written Communications: Summarize and communicate moderately complex information in varied written formats. Oral Communications: Comprehend and communicate complex verbal information in English to staff, patients, families and external customers. Knowledge: Demonstrate in‑depth knowledge of concepts, practices and policies and apply them to complex situations. Team Work: Lead collaborative teams for larger projects or groups internally and externally to the Medical Center and across functional areas. Results: Provide high level of customer service and staff training to meet customer service standards and expectations. Customer Service: Resolve service issues in a timely and respectful manner. Age Based Competencies Neonatal: Birth to 6 months Youth: 6 months to 16 years Young adult: 16‑30 years Middle Age: 30‑60 years Elderly: 60 years and older Physical Nature of the Job Medium work: Exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally and up to 20 pounds of force frequently. The job is physical in nature and the employee needs to stand and/or move around for the majority of the shift. Vaccination Requirement All staff must be vaccinated against influenza (flu) as a condition of employment. Pay Range $85,332.00 USD – $112,500.00 USD. The pay range listed for this position is the annual base salary range the organization reasonably and in good faith expects to pay for this position at this time. Actual compensation is determined based on factors such as seniority, education, training, relevant experience, relevant certifications, geography of work location, job responsibilities, or other applicable factors permissible by law.
