Quality Manager

Overview of the Position Primarily responsible for ensuring that the quality of the product meets the clients or consumers specifications and demands, maintaining compliance with all relevant regulatory bodies for repair and overhaul services rendered. Direct and advise all personnel involved in the repair and shipment of product to be suitably qualified and experienced in the appropriate processes, and carry out all assigned tasks with authority. Essential Duties And Responsibilities Provide production coordination and planning, including scheduling, to ensure customer turn time objectives are achieved Maintain compliance with EASA145, FAR145, CAAC 145 and customer approvals Obtain and maintain AS9110 accreditation Serve as a liaison with regulatory authorities, customers and external auditors Ensure that QMS processes and procedures meet the requirements of the statutory system Approve all QMS documentation and all new equipment and tooling that directly affects product quality Train personnel on quality and operator processes and procedures Conduct internal quality audits and audits of suppliers Investigate customer complaints and internal non-conformances Track warranty, auditing, and customer feedback to improve process integrity Manage the tool and test equipment calibration system Ensure quality manuals are current and compliant Ensure training manuals and records are current and compliant Inspect product, processes, and metrics to find opportunities to improve quality Manage quality compliance and improvement programs Responsible for document control and gauge calibration systems Ensure regulatory requirements and reports are maintained and are in compliance Assist in benchmarking best practices across the company so that successes, failures and obstacles can be identified, communicated and leveraged across departments and the site Ensure that shop floor procedures, documentation and manuals are kept up to date Work in accordance with the attached competencies as agreed by yourself and the General Manager Must be mentally coherent and free from the influence of drugs (either illegal or legally prescribed drugs that may cause impairment) while performing safety-sensitive duties per FAA regulations Perform additional duties and tasks as assigned Ensure adherence to safety rules and regulations Ensure high levels of housekeeping are maintained within the work area Ensure work is carried out in accordance with QHSE policy Commitment to company values Other Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities Knowledge of company policies and procedures Knowledge of the requirements of JAR145 & FAR145 Knowledge in an aviation component or accessories environment Strong knowledge of ISO9001/2000; AS9110 Quality Systems Strong knowledge of mechanical component overhaul or manufacture, in a highly regulated environment Knowledge of internal and third-party auditing Knowledge of computer software (MS Office, spreadsheets, internet websites, PowerPoint, Outlook, MS Project & Access) Skilled in operating computers and office equipment (fax machines, copiers, phone systems) Skilled in basic data entry Skilled in management and supervising Skilled in analyzing and solving problems Skilled in paying attention to detail Skilled in oral and written communication (English) Ability to work with confidential information Ability to lead and conduct audits Ability to address and solve issues Ability to be proactive Ability to manage multiple priorities Ability to read, write, speak and understand English per FAA Regulations Ability to communicate effectively (both written and oral) Ability to follow written and oral instructions Ability to process data into useful information Ability to navigate the internet Ability to think and concentrate for long periods of time Ability to organize workload to meet deadlines Ability to perform mathematical calculations related to the job function Ability to work in a team environment Ability to be flexible with the work schedule Ability to learn tasks required to perform the job #J-18808-Ljbffr
