CT Tech Travel

Pine Ridge, SD

Gross Pay: $4,300/wk

Shift: 8 hour shifts

Anders Group is looking for a qualified X -Ray / CT Techs to fill current needs in Pine Ridge. This X - Ray / CT Tech should have 2+ years of recent experience for this travel assignment.

Job Requirements:

• ARRT and BLS certifications required
• Complete knowledge of complex instrumentation utilized to extract finest quality performance from the equipment.
• Ability to deviate from normal techniques when necessary and to develop new and better techniques to keep diagnostic capability up to date.
• Knowledge of radiation protection standards, devices, and techniques.
• Knowledge of anatomy and physiology.
• Knowledge of methods, techniques and quality control for digital imaging.
• Additional requirements may also be provided during interview.

CT technologists utilize computerized tomography (CT) scanners to produce cross-section images of patients' internal organs and tissues for the diagnosis of medical issues. A CT scan technician must be able to accurately interpret a physician's scanning instructions, administer contrast materials, prepare and operate the CT scan equipment and position the patient to capture the appropriate images.

 

Generally speaking, a CT technologist should be in good health, because maneuvering equipment and patients who are disabled may pose physical challenges. CT scanners emit radiation, which can be harmful for the technologist and patient if proper safety procedures are not followed. CT scan technician jobs are most often located in hospitals and diagnostic imaging centers.

• Any valid state rad tech license required/registration where applicable
• ARRT certification
