Administer prompt and efficient basic life support care within the limits of license or certification and in accordance with approved protocols before and during transport. Handle patients carefully to and from the ambulance. Transport patients safely and efficiently to medical facilities. Transfer patient and care information to receiving personnel at the destination. Document all aspects of patient condition and treatment on EMS run reports and complete other patient documentation as required. Perform regular unit inventory and equipment testing to ensure all equipment for EMT‑Basic are present, clean, and functioning. After transport, complete all assigned duties that restore the ambulance and equipment to service. Maintain full knowledge of basic life support equipment and use it appropriately at all times. Report all needed repairs to maintenance departments and supervisors. Operate/drive the ambulance safely in emergency and non‑emergency situations, following company driving guidelines, ensuring safety of occupants. Minimum Requirements At least 18 years of age. Ability to pass a physical evaluation, including lifting 125 lbs. Qualifications High school diploma or general education degree (GED). Ability to communicate and understand written & conversational English. Valid and currently in‑good standing: Paramedic License (Florida), Florida Driver’s License, Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers.
