Production Supervisor

The primary objective of the Production Supervisor is to supervise the day to day activities of the production hourly work force to achieve production and distribution goals for consistent high quality clinker and cement. This is to be done safely, at the lowest possible cost, while maintaining equipment integrity.

Required Education: High School diploma/GED. Additional Education Preferred: Bachelor's/Undergraduate Degree Field of Study Preferred: Production. Required Work Experience: Minimum of 5 years plant production experience. Required Computer and Software Skills: Familiar with using a computer and basic software such as email program, knowledge of SAP preferred. Travel Requirements: 0 - 5%. Additional Requirements: Ability to successfully manage people/contractors Demonstrated ability to adapt to change Strong interpersonal, communication and organizational skills Knowledge of cement manufacturing process Knowledge of cement quality indicators Knowledgeable of Lafarge Best Practices Computer literate in Word, Excel, Email, SAP, MS Project Knowledge of industrial safety techniques and practices Experience working in a union environment Experience working in cement, mining, steel or similar industries is desirable Successful candidates must adhere to all safety protocols and proper use of Amrize approved Personal Protection Equipment ("PPE"), including but not limited to respirators. Employees that are required to wear respirators must be clean shaven where the respirator seal meets the face in order to pass the qualitative and quantitative fit tests.
