About the Role As a Lead Field Engineer you will be the expert voice on‑site for the commissioning of building automation systems. You will lead complex projects, solve deep technical problems, mentor new technicians, and collaborate closely with project teams and customers. Scope of Position Drive the field commissioning of BMS solutions tailored to each customer, ensuring systems operate correctly and meet performance expectations. Key Responsibilities Initiate, install, troubleshoot, and optimize customer systems that use advanced Direct Digital Control technology. Lead medium‑ to large‑scale turnkey projects from planning through completion. Mentor and train less experienced Field Engineers on all tools, technology, and procedures. Serve as the local technical contact, providing effective solutions for complex system issues. Load and configure software, trends, alarms, and reports; ensure proper operation of controls, sensors, and software. Implement time‑management strategies to meet customer satisfaction and project deadlines. Communicate and document project status and details to customers and internal stakeholders. Provide site‑specific training to owners/operators on the complete system. Required Qualifications High School Diploma or GED. At least 3years of experience in building automation, HVAC, or a related technical field. Capable of climbing ladders or using other lift equipment over 8feet above grade and lifting items up to 50lbs. Valid and current driver’s license; insurability by the company’s insurance. Preferred Qualifications Bachelor’s degree, Associate degree, or technical certification in HVAC, controls, or a related field. Proficiency with advanced building automation software such as WebCTRL®. Experience integrating into a variety of building automation systems. Expertise with TCP/IP networks, including wireless technology. Strong communication skills and the ability to convey technical information to non‑technical audiences. Proficiency with Microsoft 365 applications. Compensation & Benefits Annual salary range: $64,500–$129,500, depending on skills, education, and experience.
