Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive mental health assessments for geriatric patients to identify their unique emotional and psychological needs.

• Provide individual and group therapy sessions focused on addressing issues related to aging, such as grief, anxiety, and adjustments to living circumstances.

• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary healthcare team to develop and implement individualized care plans that promote optimal mental health outcomes for elderly individuals.

• Educate family members and caregivers about the significance of mental health support through workshops and informational sessions.

• Lead grief counseling sessions for patients and their families dealing with significant life changes, including loss and illness.

• Utilize evidence-based cognitive stimulation techniques and therapeutic interventions to enhance the cognitive and emotional well-being of clients.

• Maintain accurate, confidential documentation of client progress and treatment plans in compliance with legal and ethical standards.

Qualifications\n

• A Master's degree in Mental Health Counseling from an accredited institution.

• A valid Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) certification in the state of Florida.

Compensation and Benefits\n
