Human Resources Coordinator

MegaKC is looking for a Human Resources Coordinator to join our team! This is a hands-on HR role with a primary focus on recruiting and onboarding the people who help build our business—from field and craft employees to project professionals and administrative team members. As an employee-owned general contractor , our people are at the center of what we do. We’re looking for someone who enjoys connecting with candidates, creating a great new-hire experience, staying organized, and supporting employees throughout their time at MegaKC. What You’ll Do Manage recruiting activities from job posting and candidate sourcing through screening, interviews, offers, and pre-employment requirements Partner with hiring managers to understand staffing needs and build candidate pipelines Coordinate onboarding from accepted offer through orientation and the introductory period Help ensure every new employee-owner has an organized, welcoming start Serve as a resource for routine employee questions related to benefits, ESOP, policies, time off, and HR processes Assist with benefits administration, performance and development processes, employee engagement, leave, and workers’ compensation documentation Maintain accurate employee records and support HR compliance, reporting, training, and other people-related initiatives Help improve HR processes as MegaKC continues to grow What We’re Looking For 3+ years of Human Resources experience, including recruiting and onboarding Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, or a related field preferred; equivalent experience considered Working knowledge of benefits, employment laws, and HR compliance Strong communication, organization, judgment, and attention to detail Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining confidentiality Experience with HRIS/applicant tracking systems and Microsoft Office Construction or skilled-trades experience is a plus Why MegaKC?
